Avangate Olympics Contest

Posted on August 5th, 2016 by

The 2016 Summer Olympics are finally here, and we’re excited to celebrate the world’s best athletes.

Working at Avangate, we often feel like we’re in an ongoing race to amplify sales for our customers so they can come out on top in whatever category they’re in. Whether our customers make audiovisual or security software, we always want them to bring home a medal in their field.

Therefore, we decided to host our own version of the event to celebrate the importance of digital commerce.

Here are the cool prizes that are up for grabs:

  1.  Follow @avangate on Twitter and share “I joined the #AvangateOlympics #Contest Check it out for a chance to win great prizes! #digitalcommerce @avangate

Good luck!

I think most shops disapear on the streets and 70 % of the people buy online and webshops will deliver 7 days a week and the payments are not with wire transactions but with cryptocurrency. The kids will not learn math classes but coding from 6-8 years old bc i think internet is the future

In my opinion, in Romania, at least, the offline shops will still be at least making 50% of the revenue, because as I observed many go with the philosophy”I hate to see it to believe it” – which applies to me also – but after those 10 years decline in offline shops will start to be seen, because the market, again in my opinion, is starting to appeal to the online more and more because of the increasing stability – by stability I mean comments from other users, opinions from acquaintances, etc.

I hope my vision has been understood. Otherwise, I request your honest questions regarding what has not been made clear.

I believe digital commerce will be highly influenced by augmented reality and virtual reality. I think that will help people break free of the habit of physical shopping.

I believe the use of mobile wallets will increase dramatically in the next 10 years. More companies will allow the use of them. I also think there will be an interesting change in online shopping. I believe there will be apps that consumers can use to help optimize their online shopping experience. I’ve heard of touchscreen fitting rooms being tested and I believe that will become a reality in the digital world.
